Chris D. Hunter
Christopher Douglas Hunter was born
in Lytham, England, 1948. He spent his early years in post
war Germany before moving with his family to New Zealand. There
he attended school in Takaka, and later at Nelson College.
Hunter served with the N.Z. Army in Malaysia and South Vietnam
before settling in Australia in 1972. His serious creativity
began while working as a branch line engineman with the Western
Australian Government Railways, in the mid '70s. Strong
ties with indigenous people and a general love of nature characterize
his outlook. He, with partner Lorena and family, reside
in South Australia.
